About
Pastor James "Jim" Cater
 Pastor
James “Jim” Cater came to Miramar Church in May 2005 after serving faithfully
in Miami Bible Church in Miami since October, 2000. Pastor Jim has held three
interim pastoral positions as well as associate pastor positions for the last
17 years. He has also served as Discipleship Director and Youth Director in
former churches.
Pastor Jim received an Associate Degree in Respiratory Technology in 1986 from
Miami Dade Community College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies in
2003 from Christian Bible College and Seminary. Currently, he is pursuing his
Master of Divinity from Christian Bible College and Seminary.
Pastor Jim and his wife Idania live in Pines Village of Pembroke Pines and have
five children: Elizabeth, James, Corina, Casandra, and Sammy. All the children
enjoy homeschooling; and as a family, they enjoy reading, browsing garage
sales, and sports.
